Ground-breaking ceremony for the Expansion of the Agricultural school in Pyhra

LR Teschl-Hofmeister: a Modern, future-oriented and to regional and individual needs

St. Pölten (OTS/NLK) – „in 2016, it was decided to a fundamental reorganisation of the vocational schools and Agricultural technical schools to have strong, viable competition and to create distinct focal points of regional coordinated schools with modern pedagogy and to use synergies“, said councillor Christiane Teschl-Hofmeister today, Thursday, in Pyhra where it presented the comprehensive lower Austria – wide construction and investment program and the ground-breaking ceremony for the Expansion of the Agricultural technical school.

„Overall, the investment program of the state of lower Austria to 2023 for eleven locations includes 110 million euros,“ stressed the councillor and referred to, inter alia, the master plan for the consolidation of Edelhof and Ottenschlag, a new wine cellar, a new meat plant facility and the General rehabilitation of the school in Hollabrunn, a new chicken coop in Gießhübl (along with Gaming), a fish-breeding in high fief (together with lead), and a new agricultural technology in hall in Krems.

„Here at the site in Pyhra, with the Sooß is placed, is built in the student’s home in a capacity of a maximum of 270 beds in 4 rooms, built three classrooms and a new teaching and research barn is built. The investment in the project amounted to 18.7 million euros,“ Teschl-Hofmeister. In the curriculum it will twist and for boys and girls open education offerings, as well as additional offerings such as fork-lift license, office organization, direct marketing etc.

„Our construction and investment program aims to future-oriented schools in a modern environment, which are oriented to regional and individual needs. Each school gets its own educational approach, and the strengthening of the Department of social professions in rural areas, as well as a networking of agricultural and home Economics training, playing with individual, additional an important role“, so Teschl-Hofmeister finally.

John jewelry Schlager, President of the chamber of agriculture of lower Austria, said: „Over 100 million euros in investment volume for the peasant youth, are a clear Statement. The summary of the locations brings with it a revaluation, a progress of the regionality and a more Attractive in the sense of modern management holdings goings-on in combination with the traditional base training“. A stronger coordination with other school sites, and new opportunities such as fish farming would also centres of excellence for the whole of the respective regions.
