Farm of the year 2019: With fire and zeal agriculture meet

Styrian LK-President titsch Bacher family Birgit and Franz Eder congratulated

Graz (OTS) – The coveted title of „farm of the year 2019“, the chamber of agriculture (LK) of Styria, in the medium of „Agricultural communications“ this year goes to Birgit and Franz Eder, the lead in Maria Zell, a „school on the farm“ and organic milk operation. After an enthralling head-to-head race with a multiple of alternating, ultra-thin guide, the upper Styrian peasant family decided this award ultimately. Second place Marieke and Helmut Wernig, keep in hitzmann village/mills in the district of Murau ewes and lambs were. School on the farm: Agricultural journey of discovery

„With zeal, students who relocate for short periods, the classroom, on our farm, the agriculture, learn“, Birgit and Franz Eder from her almost a year ago, launched the Initiative „school enthusiastic on the farm“. The Organic dairy farm with 30 in the playpen with spout milk cows kept for their milk carries the brand „Back to origin“, offers the children an exciting agricultural tour of discovery. The Voting for the „farm of the year“ by the Readers of the „Agricultural communications“ between 15. January and 25. February 2019 total 57.365 votes via the Internet, postcards and signature lists submitted. A total of 23 Styrian farms have participated in the Voting. The winner received 21.525 votes, the runner-up 19.247 and the third-placed 6.794 votes. In Styria 95 „school on the farm“-farms are active. (Final)
